Black bean and swiss patties

Ingredients
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 small onion, chopped 1/2 cup bread crumbs2 egg, beaten 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 cup olive oil
Directions
In a medium bowl, mash black beans. Mix in onion, bread crumbs, egg, cheese, and garlic powder. Divide into 6 equal parts, and shape into patties.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry patties until browned, about 5 minutes on each side.
