light red kidney beans & turkey tacos

Ingredients
1 15.5 oz. can light red kidney beans approx. 1/4 c. water1 pkg. taco seasoning mix1 lb. white ground turkey1/4 head iceburg lettuce (shred on tacos)12 grape tomatoes,or cherry tomatoes (2 per serv)4 oz. cheddar cheese,(grated)1 sm. diced onion
Directions
brown turkey meat until all water is cooked off, drain light red kidney beans, retain juice, add it to 3/4 packet of taco seasoning plus 1/4 cup of water, (approx.3/4 c. juice ) add it to cooked turkey, add beans,cook until slightly thickened.

    Sounds good. I plan on trying it soon. Can you tell me, are the beans added to the meat just after draining the beans so it is cooking while you get the juice and seasoning taken care of? And what happens to the remaining 1/4 packet, is it tossed? - 1/9/08
