1.5 lbs Sweet Potatoes, peeled and cubed2 cups low sodium vegetable broth or water1 can chickpeas (15 oz)1 can no salt added diced tomatoes (15 oz)1 package frozen chopped okra (10 oz)spice paste:6 cloves garlic1 tsp sea salt2 tbspn paprika1.5 tspn cumin seeds1 tspn black pepper.5 tspn ground ginger.5 tspn ground allspice1 tblspn olive oil
blend spices together in blender to make paste.
add all ingredients to pot, including paste,bring to a boil.
reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes, uncover and simmer for 10 additional minutes.
