Joan's Lentil & Sausage Soup

Ingredients
Bob Evans Ground Original Pork Sausage, 16 oz. (1 lb. pkg.)Lentils, 2 cupOnions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" diam.) choppedCelery, raw, 1 cup, choppedCarrots, raw, .5 cup, chopped fineSwanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free, 1.5 cup (1 can)Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz)
Directions
Brown bulk ground sausage in a skillet with chopped onions. Add chopped celery and shredded carrot to skillet and cook 5 more minutes, stirring. Add rinsed lentils to crock pot. Add browned sausage mixture, one can of fat-free chicken or beef broth and 2 cups water. Set crock pot to Low for 4 hours. Additional water may be added if soup is too thick. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
