Indian Spiced Tomato Soup

Ingredients
1 onion, chopped4 tsp garam masalapinch chili flakes1 1/2 cup red lentils, washed400 g. crushed tomatoes with juice500 ml vegetable stock1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped1/4 cup Sugar
Directions
Put all of the ingredients (except the cilantro) into a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for 20 minutes stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Once lentils are soft, add cilantro and cook about 1 minute longer. Use a stick blender and puree.
