Crockpot Stuffed Cabbage Soup

1 head of cabbage, chopped1.5 pounds lean ground beef2 big spoonfuls minced garlic1 medium onion, chopped1/3 c brown sugar1/3 c lemon juice2/3 c barley9 beef boullion cubes2 cans tomato paste (6 oz each)1 can crushed tomatoes (14 oz)2 tsp paprika1 tsp pepper1 tsp thyme5 cups water
Brown beef, onion and garlic. Place in a Tupperware container and mix in brown sugar, lemon juice, barley, 7 boullion cubes, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, paprika, pepper and thyme. Refrigerate overnight. In the morning, place the cabbage in the crockpot. Put your meat mixture on top of the cabbage. Add 5 cups of water along with 2 more boullion cubes. Cover & cook on low 8 hours.
