Split Pea Barley Soup

Ingredients
2 Cups Split Peas1 Cup Pearl Barley1/2 Cup raw carrot, chopped1 cup yellow onion, chopped1 Tbsp. Olive Oil4 cups chicken broth1 Tsp. oregano1 Tbsp. thyme1 Tbsp. garlic powder4 cups water2 medium raw potatoes, chopped2 Tsp. Chicken Bouillonsalt and pepper to taste
Directions
soften carrot & onion in the olive oil. Add split peas, barley, oregano, thyme, garlic power and broth and water. Cook slowly uncovered for one hour. Add potato. Check seasoning. Add two tsp. bouillon. Continue cooking for another hour.
