1 lb ground beef, lean 93% or higher1-32 oz can crushed tomatoes1 cup chopped onion2 cups white mushrooms2 cloves garlic1 cup chopped plum tomatoes1 6 oz can tomato paste1 tsp oregano1 tbsp basil2 cups water2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Saute the ground beef, onions, and garlic in the olive oil. Add basil, oregano, & pepper and continue until onions become translucent. Add in chopped tomatoes and mushrooms continuing to cook another 5 minutes.
Add in crushed tomatoes, water, & tomato paste. Bring to a slight boil then reduce heat and simmer for another 30 minutes stirring occasionally until tomato paste is entirely mixed in.
Serving Size: Makes 8-10 1 cup servings
