*Brown Basmati Rice (Uncooked), 1 cup Onions, raw, 1 large Water, tap, 2.5 cup (8 fl oz) Olive Oil, 1 tsp *Better Than Bouillon Vegetable Base, 1 tsp *Almonds, dry roasted, 2 oz (finely chopped)
Heat oil in saucepan. Saute onion for a little while. Add rinsed rice and saute until rice starts to look a bit more brown than it did before.
Add water and vegetable base.
Cover and simmer on low heat for 40 minutes.
Add chopped almonds, stir, and simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes or until water is absorbed.
Serving Size: 6 servings
