.5 cup uncooked pearl barley2 tsp hemp seeds1.5 cup water 1/8 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg and whatever other spices(can top with flax, agave, sugar, and/or nuts - but those are not included in the nutritional info)
1. Combine barley and water in a 4-cup capacity bowl. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
2. Uncover bowl, and stir in the salt. Bring to a boil on stove for about ten minutes until water evaporates (or microwave for about 10 mins, stopping to stir every 3 mins.
Stir in the hemp seeds and spices (along with any other spices, nuts, and sweetener as desired.
