ham aparagus casserole

Ingredients
asparagus 4 cupsham cubed 5 cups precooked10 cups dry whole wheat penne pasta (cook this)4 cups chicken broth2 cans evaporated milk(if desired you can use low fat2 cups green onion3 tbsp. margarine1 cup flourlemon juice 3 tbspthyme 3 tbsp1tbsp black pepper3 tbsp parsley2 cups parmesan cheese
Directions
cube ham, rinse asparagus(fresh) and cut into 1 inch pieces, boil asparagus for 5 minutes, drain

large deep pan for sauce, fry onions in butter add chicken broth, milk and seasonings until warmed add lemon juice, mix 1 cup flour with 1 cup water slowly add flour mixture to hot liquid and stir til well blended

get two 13x 9 inch lasagne pans add 5 cups pasta to each, add liquid mixture and asparagus to both evenly
add ham and stir mixture. add 1 cup parmesan cheese to each and stir.

cover pans and place in oven for 30 minutes at 350 degress. uncover and cook for another 10 minutes.

makes 24 1 cup servings. you can freeze servings and cook as needed or for a get together with lots of people
