DAD's Slow Cooker Chili

2lbs lean ground beef (4%fat)1/2cup onion1/2cup green bell pepper8Tbsp chili powder2 large (30oz) cans of chili beans1 (15oz) can dark red kidney beans1 (15oz) can red beans1 (12oz) can of tomato paste1 large (29oz) can tomato sauce
Sautee onions and green bell peppers for about 5-10 minutes, you want them slightly firm. Add them to the crock pot.
Cook ground beef adding chili powder for flavor, about 4Tbsp. Once cooked, drain and add to slow cooker.
Add all other canned ingredients and the remaining 4Tbsp of chili powder.
Set on longest slow setting you slow cooker has and let it work it's magic.
I usually let it chill over night and serve the next day. It always taste better the next day.
Serving Size: Makes 16 1-cup servings
