low calorie chocolate cake

Ingredients
1/3 cup whole wheat flour1/3 cup all-purpose flour3/4 cup brown sugar1 teaspoon baking soda3/4 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon cinnamon1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup cocoa powder2/3 cup applesauce1 egg, lightly beaten1 teaspoon vanilla1 cup shredded zucchini (carrots would also work) 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use parchment paper to line your round cake pans.
Combine the flours, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, cocoa powder and salt. Add the applesauce, egg, vanilla and zucchini and chocolate chips just until combined. Pour into lined cake pans and bake for about 30 or 35 minutes.
