1 cup skinless whole grain wheat1 1/2 cup bleached raisins1 1/2 cup dry apricots3 qts water2 cups sugar2 tablespoons rose water1 cup walnuts1 cup blanched almonds
Wash wheat and add 3 quarts water. Bring to a boil then set aside covered to soak over-night. Next day cook on low fire 1 1/2 hours. Wash raisins and apricots. Cut apricots in quarters, and add all to wheat with sugar. Cook 30 minutes more. Take off the fire, add the rose water and pour into a deep dish.
While warm garnish the top with walnuts and blanched almonds. Serve cold. Serves about 20.
