Wholesome French Toast

Ingredients
4 medium eggs1 C nonfat milk1 tsp vanilla extract1/4 tsp ground nutmeg2 TBSP splenda-bake sugar for baking12 slices sara lee Delightful whole wheat bread or other low calorie whole wheat bread
Directions
In a large batter bowl, beat/mix the eggs, milk, vanilla, nutmeg, and splenda-bake sugar . Place the 12 slices of whole wheat bread on a baking sheet with a rim, and pour the liquid over the bread. Let sit a minute or so, then flip the bread and allow to absorb the rest of the liquid. Meanwhile on medium heat, heat a griddle/nonstick pan, and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Place the moistened bread on the griddle, and brown well on both sides. Serve with fruit, applesauce or lite syrup.
