Another Whole Grain Waffle

Ingredients
1 cup white flour1 cup whole wheat flour1/2 cup wheat germ1/2 cup oatmeal (leave whole or grind in coffee grinder)1/2 cup flax seed (grind in coffee grinder) or flax meal1/4 tsp salt1/2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda2 large eggs or substitute equal amount of egg whites1/4 cup Canola oil3 cups Lowfat buttermilk
Directions
A coffee grinder works well to make flax seed and oatmeal into flour.
Mix dry ingredients together.
Wisk wet ingredients
Add wet ingredients to dry. Mix well. Feel free to thin the batter out, if needed.

This batter also makes tasty pancakes.

Makes 10, 2 waffle servings.

I often make the whole batch on Sunday and enjoy extra waffles warmed up in the toaster during the week.
