Granny smith apple - 2 med. apple Pillsbury Crescent Roll - 2 cans Margarine - 1cup Granulated Sugar - 1.5 cup Vanilla Extract - 1.5 tsp Mountain Dew - 12 oz can Ground cinnamon to taste **Optional: Vanilla ice cream as topping **
Peel apples. Cut each apple into 8 equal wedges. Wrap each appl wedge in 1 piece of crescent roll 9starting at wide end & at the point. Place in buttered 8 x 10 baking dish (seam side down). Melt butter in saucepan on low heat. Add sugar & vanilla - stir for few seconds. (Mixture will be grainy). Pour mixture evenly over rolls. Pour can of Mountain Dew evenly over top. (It will look liquidy, but worry. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake @ 350 for 40 minutes or until golden brown. **Optional: serve with vanilla ice cream on side.
