Bob's Homemade Baked Beans #2

Ingredients
Soldiers beans, dry 5 cups or 2 lbs. dryOnion, large 1 cup or more to tasteSugar, brown 1 cup packedSugar 1/2 cupGinger 1 tspMustard powder 1 tspVermont Maple Syrup 3 to 4 TbsMolasses 2 to 3 TbsNo sodium, salt substitute To taste
Directions
Soak beans in cold water 8 hours. Simmer for approx. 1 hour. Chunk onion, place in bottom of crock pot. Set bean liquor aside, put beans in crock pot. In liquor reserve, dissolve dry ingredients, add syrup and molasses. Pour liquor over beans, add water if necessary to cover beans. Set crock pot to low, cook overnight, beans will be ready in the morning.
