Chile Con Carne

1 lb. ground beef1 c. dry pinto beans1/2 c. dry black beans1 c. chopped onion1 c. chopped green bell pepper1 14 oz. can tomatoes1 6 oz. can tomato sauce1 large chile powder2 tblsp. ground cumin2 tblsp. garlic powder2 tblsp. black pepper
Cook Dry Beans in Crock Pot until tender (approx. 5 hrs).
Brown ground beef in skillet. Season with black pepper and garlic powder. Add chopped onion and green bell pepper. Cook until onion and pepper are tender.
Drain juice from crock pot into a bowl. Add browned meat mix to the beans in crock pot. Add canned tomatoes and tomato sauce. Mix. Stir in chile powder and cumin. Add reserved liquid from crock pot back into crock pot to desired thickness. Let simmer on low for 1-2 hours.
Serving Size: Makes approx. 10 -1cup servings
