Crock Pot Chinese Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients
1 lb. flank steak1 10.5 oz. can of beef consomme1/4 c. low sodium soy sauce1 tsp. ginger root1 c. scallions, chopped2 tbsp. corn starch2 tbsp. water1 bunch fresh broccoli
Directions
Thinly slice flank steak diagonally across the grain. Combine strips in crock pot w/ consomme, soy sauce, ginger and scallions. Covr and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours. Turn control to high. Dissolve corn starch into water and add stir into crock pot. Cook on high 10 - 15 minutes or until thickened. Drop in broccoli and cook to desired tenderness.

Serve over rice (not included in calories).

Yields 4 servings.

    I made this just last night. It was really good. I agree with the little salty, and my family wanted it a little sweeter like the restaurant version. Its a keeper, but we'll be having it with a little splend, I think. Thanks for sharing! - 1/7/09
