Braised Pork Chops with Onion,Sauerkraut and Apples

*Pork, fresh, loin, sirloin (chops), bone-in, separable lean and fat, cooked, braised, 3 chop, excluding refuse (yield from (remove)Onions, raw, 1 large (remove)Garlic, 1 cloveApples, fresh, 2 large (3-1/4" dia) (approx 2 per lb (remove)*Potato, raw, 2 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) (remove)Sauerkraut, 2 cup, undrained (remove)Light Beer, 1 can or bottle (12 fl oz) (remove)whole cloves, 3peppercorns, 6genever berries
Prep:
Slice onions, mince garlic,
Skin, core and slice apples
Peel and slice potatoes
Brown some onion and pork chops
Move chops to plate
Brown onion, garlic, apple, potato; then return chops to skillet
Add sauerkraut
Mix
Add spices and beer
Return to cook over low heat
Simmer for 40 to 60 minutes.
