Pilau rice

Ingredients
8 to 10 baby carrots1.5 cups rice (any variety-I prefer basmati)1/4 cup onions diced1 tbsp ground tumeric1.5 tbsp pilau masala seasoning2 tbsp olive oil
Directions
Add olive oil to a pan with onions. Heat until translucent. Add washed rice, chopped carrots, pilau seasoning and tumeric. Coat (this occurs naturally as the olive oil allows spices to bond with the rice) rice mixture with tumeric and pilau masala seasoning(you can find this in an Indian market) and cook for about 4 mins, stir frequently. Add 2 1/4 cups water. Cover and heat on low. Serve when rice is done. (sorry, unsure how long it takes, I usually eyeball it). Add salt to taste.
