Chocolate Reeses Pieces Cookies

1/2 cup butter softened1/2 cup shortening1 1/2 cups sugar2 eggs2 tsp. vanilla extract2 cups flour2/3 cup baking cocoa3/4 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. salt1 bag (15 oz.) Reeses Pieces Candy
In a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Mix in candy. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until easy to handle.
Roll into 1 in balls (or scoop with 1 oz. cookie scoop). Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten slightly. Bake at 350 10-12 minutes or until the edges are firm. Cool on pan slightly before transferring to wire cooling rack.
