Chicken Oatmeal Porridge

Ingredients
1 cup chopped onions1 cup chopped celery1 Tbsp butter1/2 cup steel cut oats1/4 cup regular oats (not quick cooking)4 tsp Better than Boullion chicken base4 cups water1 cup milk1/2 cup heavy cream (can use milk instead) pepper to taste
Directions
Soften onions and celery over medium heat in butter.
Add oats and stir for a moment.
Add water, chicken base, milk, and cream. Bring to a boil and then turn down heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 45 minutes, or until oats are soft and mixture is thick and creamy.

Serving Size: Makes 6 servings of a little over 1 cup
