Excellent. I threw in some baby carrots, pearl onions and small potatoes at the beginning and they turned out wonderfully. - 7/14/09

My husband always turns his nose up to chuck roast and says its too chewy or too something. I tried this recipe because it sounded good. He came in, took a plate, I was waiting for him to complain when he turned around and said now this is good, keep this recipe. That was a true compliment. - 7/20/08

I'd rather use my own seasonings to cut down on the sodium and my own homemade gravy, but it is a delicious recipe. - 2/22/16

use some coffee in place of the water....the acid tenderizes the meat. - 2/22/21
