Spicy beans and rice

2 cups uncooked white rice4 cups water 4 cloves garlic1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained1 can (15.5 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed1/2 cup salsa1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1. Add water and rice to a pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes, covered, stirring occasionally.
2. In another pot, add tomatoes, beans, salsa, garlic, and cayenne. Cook on medium heat about 15 minutes.
3. Combine the two and serve.
