Broiled Brown Sugar Glazed Pineapple Shortcake Sundaes

1/3 c sug1/3 c apple sauce (unsweetedend)2 eggs1 c flour2 t baking powder1/2 c fat free half and half9 slices of pineapple 1/2 inch thick) remove core2 T land o lakes light butter (divided into a little less than a tsp per slice of pineapple)9 t brown sugar (divided amongst the 9 slices of pineapple)9 T Whipped Cream (divided 1 per sundae)4T caramel sauce (divided approx 1 t of caramel sauce per sundae)2 1/4 c breyer's light vanilla ice cream (divided 1/4 c per sundae)
mix sugar and apple sauce. Add eggs. Add 1/2 t vanilla extract and 1/4 t almond extract. mix flour and baking powder in a separate bowl and then add to wet ingredients. add milk. mix well and then bake in Pam sprayed pan for 20 to 25 minutes. Slice pineapple, butter and sugar it and then broil for about 3 to 5 minutes (watch so it doesn't burn) Make sundae...shortcake, ice cream,pineapple, whipped cream, caramel sauce.
