Rosi's Fried Bread

Ingredients
1 package of YeastWarm WaterMilk (this recipe calculates for 1%)Sugar - GranulatedSaltShorteningWhite Flour
Directions
Dissolve yeast in warm water in a mixing bowl.
Add milk, 1/2 the flour, sugar, salt & shortening.
Beat w/mixer until smooth (batter will fall from spoon in sheets).
Use hands to mix in enough remaining dough until dough cleans bowl.
Place in a greased bowl turning once, greased side up.
Let rise in warm place about 1 hr.
Punch down & form into desired shapes.
Fry in about 1 inch of very hot shortening or vegetable oil until golden brown.
It IS more calories then nutritional info says, because it is fried in shortening.
