Ingredients
1 med apple, sliced and seeded1 T unsweetened cranberry juice1T Orange juicesplash of lemon juicedash of cinnamondash of gingerdash of nutmeg1T ground flax seedStevia (optional)
Directions
Put all of the ingredients except the flax seed in a small saucepan. Add enough water to barely cover the apples. Cook about 10 minutes until soft. Mash into apple sauce (I use an emersion blender). It should be a little liquidy. Stir in the flax seed (this will absorb the extra liquid). If it isn't sweet enough add stevia to taste.

This was great. It had a hardy, cozy taste. I replaced the flaxseed with wheat germ. - 3/19/08
