Basic Marinara

Ingredients
1Lg. Can of diced tomatoes1Lg. Can of crushed tomatoes1Lg. onion, Vidallia or other sweet onion3 Cloves of minced garlic2 tbsp of dried basil or 5 fresh leaves roughly chopped1 tbsp olive oil1tsp salt or to taste1tsp. black pepper or crushed red pepper flakes for heat
Directions
Heat olive oil in pan over med high heat. Add one whole diced onion and saute until soft. Cook 2-3 minutes. Mince garlic cloves and add to onions. Cook one minute. Add both cans of tomatoes with salt, pepper, and dried basil to taste. Turn down heat to med-med low and let cook for 25 minutes.
