You can reduce the amount of fat in your cooked ground beef in HALF by rinsing it under water and draining it. I do it all the time and it doesn't affect the taste at all.

We have been making this for years at our house - it's my hubby's favorite! I also add onions and a coupls splashes of A1 or worchestshire sauce.

So Yummy! I made this one a couple of weeks ago and loved how easy it is... I added some fresh garlic and a few other spices as well... and put in more mushrooms too! Definitely a recipe that is now in our rotation! - 3/24/08

I thought this was a great, easy recipe. I didn't have any sour cream on hand, so I used a little skim milk. Turned out pretty good. Thanks for sharing! - 3/20/08

Very good. I used cream of Brocoli as we don't like mushrooms. - 2/8/08

Very good and tasty, too. I was dying for some Stroganoff. HOWEVER, it isn't all that low cal and if you are also on another weight watcher plan, this racks up 11 pts. Use it as a treat, not a mainstay in your diet dinner rotation. Other posters have given some great ideas for tweaking cals. - 8/10/08

This was very easy to make and very tasty. My 3-year daughter actually ate it. I reduced the fat content by almost half by using ground turkey instead of beef. I will definitely be making this again. - 8/6/08

I added a half cup of red wine and beef broth. It was very good - 2/4/08

I found this recipe to be very easy. I added an additional 1/2 cup of mushrooms and another TBSP of sour cream. Even with those additions, my calorie total per serving was only 392. Next time I would add some spices. Overall - very good! - 2/18/08

This was soooo good, and so easy to make. I love that it makes exactly 2 portions. I find it difficult to find recipes for two, and it is a pain to have to divide servings into 4 portions just to figure out how much I am supposed to eat. Thanks for the great recipe. - 2/5/09

My husband and I had this for dinner tonight. He is a meat and potatoes kinda guy, and it is hard to find something healthy for both of us. I bet we make this every 2-3 weeks. We just added a bit more spices, and it was great! - 2/4/08

I like that it's lower in carbs. I added some minced garlic and diced onion when browning the meat. - 2/2/09

Great recipe! Easy to make and filling - we'll be having this one again & again. I added extra mushrooms and also some peas & fresh ground pepper. - 4/10/07

Everyone ate it, but it was a little bland even with additional sour cream. I sauteed the mushrooms before adding. I should have added onion and garlic to the meat and it would have been tastier. - 2/5/09

I would be wiling to bet that the nutritional info is for the entire pot of this stuff - not an individual serving.. if you use supreme lean sirloin the fat is much much lower 50-65% lower - use ground chicken or turkey to reduce it even more! I will be trying this soon with turkey.... - 2/6/08

Fair. I need more sour cream taste to make it great. However, my child that loves mushrooms, loved it. My child who hates mushrooms, hated it. - 3/18/07

This was very good. I doubled the recipe, used fat free sour cream and added garlic salt and Worchestshire sauce. I also used half whole wheat noodles and half regular to satisfy my hubby. Next time I will use all whole wheat. My husband and son both loved it and the 3 of us ate the 4 servings! - 2/11/09

I made this because I saw that a lot of people thought it was very good. I thought it was just okay. I do not think I would make it again. - 3/4/08

This was a great dish. It filled me up and there was no need for snacking later. It was quick and easy to make as well, which is a plus after a long day of work. - 2/10/08

Good, easy, and filling. It is a lot of fat and calories though, so I made it serve three. I had extra veggies on the side, my son had extra noodles. - 2/2/08

Needed more sour cream for my taste but that was easy to add and calculate. - 3/18/07
