3 tbs green bell pepper1/4 c chopped onion2tbs garlic16oz. lean turkey2 tbs tomato paste2c chopped cabbage1 can mushroom pieces and liquidSEASONINGS TO TASTE:POWDERED GARLICPOWDERED ONIONSALTPEPPEROREGANOROSEMARY (chopped)BASIL (chopped)(can add Cajan spice or add venison spice if desired.)1 med egg beaten 2 oz. mozzarella part skim ready made bread dough or make your owndivide into 8 pieces.Bake in oven 25 minutes 425 degrees
Spray heavy skillet with non-stick spray. Cook first 4 ingredients. When turkey is cooked through, add tomato paste and mushrooms stir to blend well. place cabbage on top of meat mixture and cover. Cook until cabbage is done. stir all together add spices stir to blend. If serving as side dish sprinkle cheese over top and wait just long enough to melt cheese.
If stuffing bread dough divide dough into 8 balls. roll out thin and put 2-3 spoons of filling in center of dough, top with pinch of cheese. brush egg mix around edge of dough, fold over and press to seal. Roll edge pressing to seal. Brush top with egg mixture. place on parchment paper on baking sheet. Repeat on rest of dough.
let rest for 30 minutes.
Bake 425 for 25 minutes.
