1 Portabello Mushroom Cap, cleaned1/4 cup Pizza Sauce1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese1/2 tbsp Olive OilTopping(s) of choice (Nutrition information is for 2 ozs of Mild Italian Chicken Sausage)Salt and Pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Lightly spritz the mushroom cap with olive oil, lightly seasoning the top of it with salt and pepper. Place directly on the rack of your 400 degree oven for about ten minutes, top-side down, allowing it to crisp.
Retrieve the mushroom cap and use it as the crust of your personal pizza. Begin with the sauce, followed by the cheese and the rest of your toppings.
Place on a cooking sheet and put under a broiler on high, watching to ensure that the toppings do not burn. Approximately 5-10 minutes.
