Andrea's Meaty Beer Chili

Ingredients
Ground beef, extra lean, 24 oz Garlic, 6 cloves, mincedOnions, raw, 4.5 cup, choppedRed Bell Peppers, 3 cups, choppedChili powder, 4.5 tbspCumin seed, 1 tspSalt, 1.5 tspGranulated Sugar, 3 tspOregano, ground, 1.5 tspRed Kidney Beans, rinsed, 2 (14.5 oz) CansDiced Tomatoes, No Salt Added, undrained, 2 (14.5 oz) CansBeef broth, 2 (14 oz) cans Light Beer, 2 (12 oz) cans or bottles Yellow Cornmeal, 3 tbsp
Directions
Cook first 4 ingredients on med-high until beef is browned and crumbled.
Add next 4 spices, cook 3 minutes.
Add all remaining ingredients except the cornmeal and simmer 15-20 minutes, add cornmeal. Allow to simmer until ready to serve. If you want a thicker chili, just add more cornmeal (.5 tbsp at a time)
Makes 12 apx 1.5 cup servings

    I liked this chili alot, instead of green peppers, I added 6 jalepeno peppers, and I also added cilantro and cinnamon to it. We had fresh oregano from our back yard, so we added almost a quarter of a cup of fresh oregano! Yummy1 - 8/17/09
