Pam's Pinto Bean Soup

Ingredients
Beans, pinto, 2 cup *Chopped Yellow Onion, 1 medium *Jalapeno Pepper, 1 Raw Pepper Garlic, 1 clove chopped Water, tap, 6 cups Salt, 1 tbsp (to taste) Pepper, black, 1 tbsp (to taste) 1 Bay Leaf
Directions
Put all ingredients into soup pot, except salt and pepper. Bring to boil, then lower to simmer. Add water as needed, during cooking time. After beans start to soften, add salt and pepper. When beans are soft, mash a few against the side of the pot to thicken the broth. Remove bay leaf, and serve.
