Sausage and Egg Breakfast Caserole

1 pound pork sausage6 slices whole wheat bread1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded8 eggs1 c skim milk1 t salt1 t pepper1 t thyme
Brown sausage until no longer pink, drain. Place bread slices on the bottom of a greased 2 qt casserole dish. Layer sausage and cheese. In separate bowl combine egg, milk, salt, pepper and thyme. Pour over sausage layers. Let sit covered 1/2 hr - overnight in refrigerator. Bake 375 for 45 minutes or until browned.
