Easy Beef stew

1 pound beef for stewing1 can tomatoes ( I use petite diced)1 can sweet yellow corn2 medium baking potatoes (diced)1/2 cup whole wheat flour(optional use brown rice instead of flour)1 tbsp olive oil1 tbsp garlic salt1 tbsp mrs. dash salt free seasoning blendWater(optional...add carrots, corn, or other veggies of choice)
In crockpot mix tomatoes, potatoes, corn and seasonings and 1/4 cup water.
dredge beef in whole wheat flour and pan sear in the olive oil until brown on all sides. Add meat and remaining flour to crockpot. Cook on low for about 6 hours or until meat is done all the way through and tender.
My family does not like chucky tomatoes so I chop the petite diced tomatoes even smaller...my son will not eat a carrot so if I add that I will chop it up very fine as well and add for the last 4 hours of cooking time.
