Hearty Slow Cooker Beef Soup/Stew

3 Tbls Olive Oil2 lbs beef chuck roast diced into 1 inch cubes (you can also use 2lb of "stew beef")1/2 cup soy flour2 tsp granulated garlic1 1/2 tsp salt2 tsp black pepper1/2 cup minced onion1/2 cup minced carrot1 cup diced celery2 cups tomato sauce4 cups of water2 pkg Lipton Onion Soup Mix, dry2 tsp of worchestershire sauce
Combine flour, garlic, salt and pepper. Coat beef cubes with dry flour mixture.
Heat olive oil in large frying pan on medium high heat until oil just begins to smoke. Add beef and stir until you see sides browning. Once most sides are brown, transfer to a crock pot.
Cook onions, carrot and celery until onions are translucent in the same pan, scraping any brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Transfer to crock pott.
At the rest of the ingredients to the crock pot. Cover. Slow cook on high for 4-5 hours or slow cook on low for 7-9 hours.
