Refried Bean soup

1 cup chopped onion 1 cup chopped green pepper 2 tsp bottled minced garlic 1 can vegetable or ff chicken broth 1 can diced tomatoes( drained) 1 can stewed tomatoes 1 can black beans ( drained and rinsed) 1 can red kidney beans ( drained and rinsed) 1 can FF refried beans 1/2 tsp of ground cumin
Place onion and bell pepper into dutch oven or soup pot over medium heat. ( spray with cooking spray first). cook for 2 or 3 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add a small amount of broth if necessary. Add garlic, broth, tomatoes and raise heat to high. Rinse and drain both beans and add to the soup pot. Stir in refried beans and cumin. cover and let soup come to a boil then reduce heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serving Size: makes approx 8-9 one cup servings !
