3 cups garbanzo beans, cooked and warmed before blending1 cup sesame seedsjuice of 1 lemon3-4 cloves garlic1/2 medium onion1.5-2 tsp Spike seasoningMrs Dash or other salt free seasoning to taste2-2.5 cups water to desired consistency
Cook dry garbanzos according to pkg directions, or use canned beans no salt. Warm them slightly before using, and mash lightly. Pour 1 c water into blender, then add 1/2 sesame seeds. After blending a few minutes, add onion and garlic. Blend well, then add spices and 1/2 beans. Squeeze juice of lemon and add then add rest of sesame seeds. Add water, then rest of beans. Texture should be slightly coarse, but similar to store bought. Season as desired, freeze leftovers.
