Apple Dumplings

4 Apples - Granny Smith or Golden Delicious2 cans Crescent rolls2.5 sticks butter1 cup sugar1/2 tsp vanilla or almond extract1/2 can of Sprite or Sierra Mist soda1 tbsp Cinnamon/sugar
Quarter apples, removing seeds. Wrap in crescent rolls. Place in baking dish, about 1 inch apart. Heat butter, sugar, and extract in sauce pan until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Pour over apples. Pour soda into bottom of dish. Sprinkle apples with cinnamon-sugar. Bake in 350 oven for 35 minutes.
