Chocolate Bourbon Balls

1 6 oz package (or 1 cup) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips1 cup Granulated Sugar - divided3 T. Karo Light Corn Syrup1/3 c. Bourbon2 1/2 c. (apx 33) finely crushed Vanilla Wafers1 c. finely chopped Walnuts
Combine crushed wafers and walnuts in a large bowl; set aside.
Melt chocolate in a pan over hot NOT BOILING water. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup sugar and corn syrup & stir until smooth. Blend in bourbon and stir until well combined. Combine with wafer/nut mixture until well incorporated.
Pour remaining sugar into a shallow bowl.
Working quickly form mixture into 1" balls and roll in sugar. Let ripen in a covered container at least several days.
