Individual Shortcakes

Ingredients
2 cups flour2 tbsp. sugar3 tsps. baking powder1/2 cup butter1 large egg1/2 c milk
Directions
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut in butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix beaten egg and milk. Add all at once to dry mixture, stir just enough to moisten.

Knead gently on floured surface. Roll out to 1/2 " thickness (appx.) Cut into biscuits.
