Ingredients
1 c. all purpose flour11/2 tsp. salt1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut into serving pieces1 tbsp. canola oil, or as needed1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup1 onion, chopped2 c. warm water
Directions
1.Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Gently press steak into flour mixture to coat and shake off the excess flour.

2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef until brown on all sides, 5-7 minutes. Remove beef from skillet and drain excess oil. Stir the ketchup, onion and water into the skillet, then add the meat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer until tender, about an hour.

    I was a little concerned, about ketchup as gravy (also I use the 53% less brand,) but mentioned it to DH, who was enthusiastic about it. I cooked this according to instructions (other than cutting it to 2 servings,) and we enjoyed this very well. Thank you! - 1/30/20
