Mashed Black Beans

Olive Oil, 1 tbspOnions, raw, 1/2 large Garlic, 1 tsp (chopped or minced)Beans, black, 1- 14.5 oz canWater, 1/2 cup (may need up to 1 cup)Salt, 1/4 tsp
Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion, cook until translucent. Add garlic, cook 1 minute.
Drain can of beans, then dump into skillet. Remove from heat and mash with potato masher, incorporating onions.
Put back on low heat, stir in 1/2-1 cup of water to thin out mixture until it barely holds shape on spoon. Season with salt.
Cover and keep warm until serving.
Serving Size: Divide into three equal portions
