"Buttermilk" Biscuits

1 cup whole wheat flour1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour1/4 cup unbleached all purpose flour.5 TBS baking powder.5 tsp baking soda.25 tsp salt.25 cup apple butter.5 TBS brown rice syrup.75 cup almond milk.5 TBS white vinegar
Preheat over to 400 degrees.
Mix milk and vinegar and set aside.
Blend all dry ingredients, stir in apple butter and brown rice syrup. This makes a crumbly mixture. Stir in milk/vinegar mixture just until all is moist.
Drop by heaping tablespoons onto a lightly oiled baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Serving Size: makes 12 biscuits
