Mama's Minestrone Soup

Ingredients
1 can kidney beans5 cups chicken broth1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes, drained2 medium carrots, sliced1 stalk celery, chopped1 medium onion, chopped1 clove garlic, minced1/2 cup uncooked macaroni1 tbsp fresh or 1 1/2 tsp dry parsley1/2 tsp dried basil1/8 tsp pepper1 bay leaf1 cup Kale, chopped2 small zucchini, cit into 1" chunksSalt to taste
Directions
In large pot add chicken broth, tomatoes, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, macaroni, parsley, basil, pepper, and bay leaf. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Add Kale, zucchini and kidney beans. Heat to boiling, reduce to simmer and cover. Simmer until veggies and macaroni are tender, 10-15 minutes. Remove bay leaf and salt to taste. Best served with a little Parmesan cheese and crusty bread on the side.
