Ingredients
2 cups flour1/2 tsp. salt3 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. baking soda3 tbsp. shortening1 cup 2% milkcinnamon (approximately 2 tbsp.)honey (approximately 1/8 cup?)water
Directions
Mix together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Cut in shortening with pastry blender. Stir in milk just until mixed.
Pour onto a floured surface and make sure all sides are fully coated in flour.
Roll onto floured surface, making a rectangle about 1/4-1/2 thick.
Using a pastry brush, lightly coat dough with water.
Sprinkle with cinnamon, just enough to fully cover entire rectangle.
Lightly drizzle honey over entire surface. Do not use too much! Honey should be in a very thin line over all the dough. Large drops will tend to ooze out and make dough wet.
Roll up dough starting from long side of rectangle. Pinch the seam together to hold in as much honey as possible.
Starting at one end of long "rope" slice rolls about 1" thick, and place on greased baking sheets.
Bake at 400 for about 15 min. or just until lightly browned.
Remove from pans and enjoy! Best served directly from oven. ;-)
