Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef2 Tbls bacon grease1 cup chopped onion1/2 cup chopped carrot1 cup chopped celery1/4 cup chopped bell peppers (orange, yellow, red)2 tsp garlic1 large can crushed tomatoes1 can grean beans1 cup frozen corn1 quart chicken broth3 Tlbs Beef Basesalt and pepper to taste2 cups water
Directions
brown beef and drain. Dump in crockpot. Melt bacon grease and add chopped onion, carrot, celery, and peppers. Cook until onion is almost translucent. Add garlic and cook another minute or two. Add a cup of broth to deglaze pan and add to crock pot. Add tomatoes, green beans, corn, and remaining broth to crockpot. Stir in beef base. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Simmer 4-6 hours on high. I added 2 cups water at the end, because I over salted. It was perfect.
