3lb angus chuck roast- raw1/4 cup of gluten free flour4 tbs of olive oilSalt, pepperThyme sprigs1 bay leafGarlic powderOnion powder1/4 cup of waterCrock pot
On a large plate, spread gluten free flour on plate, set aside. Take roast, rinse thoroughly then pat it dry with paper towels. Season roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder,onion powder by rubbing seasoning onto meat, both sides. Take roast then drudge it on both sides with gluten free flour on plate. Set aside. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan or dutch oven. Sear roast on each side, until brown. Place roast into a 9 lb crockpot. Throw in thyme sprigs and bay leaf. Pour 1/4 cup of water into crock pot. Turn crock pot on low and forget about it! After 6 hours, check on it, meat,should be falling apart. Enjoy!
